About Taylor Industries

Drawing on his own experiences as a well-service contractor (running more than 13 rigs), Oscar Taylor founded Taylor Rigs in 1978. His dream was to design and manufacture a simple, straight forward rig, which was both easy to maintain and economical to operate.

On July 15, 1978 the first Taylor made rig was delivered, and a dream was realized. Since that day, Taylor Industries has delivered more than 700 drilling, workover, and well-servicing rigs, establishing a reputation for providing customers with the latest in innovative technology and an uncompromising dedication to quality and value.

Advancements such as all-hydraulic drawworks, disc brake systems, and hydraulic top head and table drive rotary systems have kept Taylor on the cutting edge of technology. Our band brake drawworks are lighter and have fewer moving parts than previous designs.
